RPR Interview - Robb Wolf

We caught up with fitness guru Robb Wolf to talk about America's weight problem. In addition to writing the bestselling book "The Paleo Solution" he is also the co-host of the "Paleo Solution" podcast.
He explains why government lies are to blame for the obesity epidemic. It turns out that following the government sponsored "food pyramid" is just about the worst thing you can do.
Next, Robb clues us in on what a healthy diet actually looks like. The answer is pretty shocking, it's almost diametrically opposite to the conventional wisdom.

Objectivist Podcast - July 1, 2011 - Legalize Marijuana, Bankrupt Illinois Steals From Charity, George Soros Packs Courts, Maryland adds "Environmental Literacy" Requirement
On today's podcast we've got good news, bad news, and weird news. We live in crazy times, so it's no surprise.
The State of Illinois is so close to bankruptcy that they have "borrowed" money from charity to keep the lights on. They still aren't talking about spending cuts in the hopes that Obama will bail them out. A bail out of a state would just punish prudent states and reward irresponsible ones. Most of the states in big trouble are heavily democratic so you can expect quite a push to make it happen anyway.
Maryland has added an "environmental literacy" requirement to graduate high school. What do you think the odds are that it will be even-handed and evidence based?
Ron Paul and Barney Frank introduce a bill to legalize Marijuana. What an odd couple! I'm not going to complain about more freedom though.
We wrap up by talking about George Soros' attempt to have more judges be appointed than elected. Apparently he can't get his agenda accomplished while the citizenry still possess that check on government power.
Rational Public Radio takes the philosophy of Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged and applies to current events. We hope you enjoy this Objectivist podcast.

RPR Interview - Alex Epstein Host of the Power Hour Energy Podcast

Alex Epstein is the host of the Power Hour Podcast. Check out this great interview talking about our nation's energy crisis caused by our flawed energy policy. We talk about alternative energy, and ask the question: Is it a viable substitute for coal or nuclear? Speaking of nuclear power is it the boogie man it's made out to be? Is every reactor a potential Chernobyl or worse?
Is man made global warming a threat? Are environmentalists really basing their predictions on honest science? Tune in to find out all of this and more.

RPR Interview - Terry Kalley - Freedom of Access to Medicine
If you think politics is just a game, this podcast is going to show just how much the politicians in Washington D.C. affects our lives. The FDA has the literal power of life and death over people that need access to medicine. Un-elected and un-accountable bureaucrats can decide to allow or prohibit medical care in a process that is anything but transparent. Listen in to hear about the ordeal that Terry Kalley is going through.

Objectivist Podcast - June 22, 2011 - Golf Summit, Obama, Ethanol Subsidies, 10th Amendment
There's lots of good news for this week. The 10th amendment is making strides. Individuals now have standing to sue the federal government for overstepping its constitutional bounds. Obama holds a secretive golf summit. So much for his promised transparency. The senate votes to eliminate ethanol subsidies. It's about time!

Objectivist Podcast - June 17, 2011 - Weiner, Ayn Rand, Jesus, ObamaCare, Sex Slavery
On the agenda for today: Obama's contempt for the constitution and congress. He's blatantly ignoring the war powers act. Of course congress is too cowardly to vote for war, so it's hard to blame him too much. We talk about Ayn Rand vs. Jesus. Is the GOP trying to have its cake and eat it too? More than a third of businesses expect to drop healthcare coverage in 2014 when Obamacare's uglier provisions start to take effect. Lastly, a Kuwaiti politician is calling for the legalization of sex slavery. Apparently female POWs are the best candidates for a life of rape and torment. She checked with Islamic clerics and scholars, and her idea is totally Koran approved.

Objectivist Podcast - June 8, 2011 - Presidential Hair, Greenspan, Earn Less, Israel
There's more talk about the Republican presidential field. It's getting weirder and uglier, but it isn't getting any more appealing. Is a vaguely free market candidate who doesn't want to enforce Christian edict with the power of law too much to ask for? Apparently it is.
We talk about Alan Greenspan's hypocrisy, and general idiocy. He is desperately trying to dodge the blame for the problems he caused, but we make sure to call him out on it. Not that Bernanke is any better, but he is truly Greenspan's intellectual protege.
Objectivist Podcast - June 5, 2011 - Iran, GOP Candidates, Sharia Law, Magic
Jeff and Scott were in a pretty good mood this week. They make fun of Ahmadinejad's problems with the Iranian parliament, and go on to lament the terrible GOP presidential candidate field. Things turn serious with a discussion of Sharia law and the death of Katya Koren. Have extremists hijacked a peaceful religion or does Islam really command death? They close with a bit about the consequences of believing that magic is real. Hope you enjoy!
