Islam Says: Get Raped and Go to Jail!
If there are any of you out there who buy into the multi-culturalist idea that all societies and cultures are equal, let me present the story of Alicia Gali.
This is a good one for any of you who, like President Bush, think Islam means peace too.
Alicia Gali's story begins with a trip she made to the United Arab Emirates. Now keep in mind, the UAE is supposedly one of the most modern and cosmopolitan of the Muslim nations.
It isn't a backwards hard line theocracy like Saudi Arabia, or Pakistan. No, the UAE is one of the most developed countries in the Middle East. It boasts the world's tallest building, the world's most expensive airport, and the world's largest artificial island.
However, as Alicia learned, the UAE remains committed to Islam than this list of accomplishments would suggest. While on vacation, she was drugged and gang raped. She remembers little of the ordeal, but witnesses remember hearing her screams.
After she was found, she had the audacity to report the crime to the police. When she was shoved into the back of a police car, she realized things weren't going as planned.
To her stunned disbelief, she was sentenced to a year in prison. For the crime of adultery. The fact that she was drugged and raped weren't considered mitigating factors.
She served eight months of her sentence, and reported brutal mistreatment while there. She wasn't even told of her sentence until 5 months into the ordeal.
Remember, this all happened in one of the most "modern" and "cosmopolitan" Muslim nations. Imagine the unmitigated horrors that comprise the lives of women in the places considered backwards even by Muslims.
Islam is a plague upon the world, and our government should fight to counter it whenever possible. We must accept the fact that Islam has declared war on us, and that these are not the actions of a few people who have "hijacked a peaceful religion".
Islam demands brutal violations of individual rights, and as such it is anathema to all who defend liberty.
Update: I guess I should have seen this coming, but I've gotten a lot of complaints that Islam doesn't really advocate this. So, I'm forced to include some citations. Check out the Skeptics Annotated Quran, and what it has to say about women.

So, no more pretending that Islam treat women well please.

Please note that the passage you cite has a few prerequisites for the stoning
1) that she be betrothed
2) that she not cry out (which, ISTM, she be a willing participant)
3) that the crying out be while she is in the city.
This story, however, indicates that the victim did indeed cry out. In addition, there is no indication that she was betrothed.
I would also point out to you that the passage you cite metes out the judgment for both participants.
Why must you compare two entirely different situations? Do you have a hatred of the Bible, or perhaps of Christians or Jews?

As far as Mr. Smith's comments, I believe his intent was to point out that if you go through the bible, one can find passages that in today's context, are equally outrageous.
It's not an "interpretation" SAQ invented to slander Islam.
People always say the Quran is being quoted "out of context" as though there was an acceptable context for saying things like:

As for the bible being equally disgusting, I agree completely. However, Christians are much less likely to follow all of their religion honestly.

the verses you coat
the 1st one says that to have sex how you are allowed to go and plant the seed like you are going in feilds from wherever but intention is to plant the seed that is get a child (read the detail dont read without detail)
the 2nd yes the woman are not good as compared to men in intellegence working etc and history is the proof..
3rd one states o you are mad you have not read the full verse it states something else when the woman is of bad character u have to get 4 vitness to confirm thats she really is then you have her in her home or allah will do something for it
4th one men are in charge to women , though they are stronger than them they are their saviours women must obey their husbands and if they refuse they should be make understood and if they dont understand they should be beaten and if they did something wrong refuse to have sex with them...
you are not saying everything you are combining different to give different meanings..

Take it first hand from a MUSLIM, we don't care about you and have no desire to destroy anything. I for one am sick of hearing slander about my religion coming from people who know nothing about being a muslim, seeing as i am an actual living breathing muslim i guess you have to take my word for it when i say you're confused and don't know what you're talking about.
Find a real cause for good and leave muslims alone you psychopaths, or better yet go and actually meet and speak to one before you decide they must be destroyed. LOL
