On this week's podcast, we discuss Osama Bin Laden's glorious death. We talk about Sila Sahin, a courageous Muslim who posed for Playboy to speak out about the oppressive rules of her religion. Then, we move into a discussion of the horrific practice of Female Genital Mutilation. Let's see the multi-culturalists try to put a moral equivalency on that! Finally, we close with a discussion of Jimmy Carter's continuing attempts to win the title "Worst President Ever".

Alright, I'll admit that title isn't exactly honest. In fact, I could only find these 5 Muslims celebrating his death.
Now, George Bush assured us that Islam is a "religion of peace." President Obama took the occasion of Osama Bin Laden's death to assure the world that "our war is not against Islam."
Tonight at 10:45 EST, President Obama confirmed that Osama Bin Laden is dead, and that the US has his body. We waited a week for DNA tests to confirm that it is in fact him.
This radical terrorist (which is to say devout Muslim) was responsible for thousands of US deaths. He was also a decade long embarrassment to our intelligence community who couldn't track him down for these many years.
Several days ago RPR's Scott Connery wrote a piece on Sila Sahin where he offered the following in regard to female genital mutilation, "I think a society that practices this {female genital mutilation} systematically, has marked itself as irredeemable. They should be shunned, and destroyed if possible."
This has left many readers dazed and confused because the western world practices male circumcision which they regard as fundamentally the same.
They couldn't be more wrong.
When I first encountered this video produced for Pantene shampoo I was stunned. The benevolence is almost immediately apparent, but highlighted even more as it proceeds. The hero of the story plays a melody recognizable to to anyone with normal hearing, musically trained or not, as a melody. Whereas our villain, befitting her sick soul, plays a piece devoid of melodic content: an assault on the metaphysical nature of music and Man. As the great novelist-philosopher Ayn Rand said, "It is in terms of his fundamental emotions - i.e., the emotions produced by his own metaphysical value-judgments - that man responds to music." As well, the villain, like all cowards, is afraid her evil will be exposed and resorts to violence to intimidate those who oppose her, just like unions do in the real world. But, like a true hero, our violinist presses forward in the face of irrational force and wins the day!
Jack Spirko from the Survival Podcast stopped by to do an interview with Scott and Jeff.
He talks about what people can do to "live the life you want, if times get tough, or even if they don't."
Jack tells us about his philosophy of modern survivalism. What can we do to protect ourselves in case of disaster, economic collapse, or things as mundane as losing a job, while simultaneously improve our lives today?

In my previous article, I talked a lot about food production. Well, lets imagine your garden is now in full bloom, and the produce is rolling in. If you have a big garden, and a good year, you might find yourself swamped with produce. Do you eat zucchini for every meal round the clock for a month? Do your neighbors hide when they see you approach knowing that you are trying to get rid of yet more cucumbers?
Obama, Bernanke, and the federal government insist things are going just fine. The mild recession ended all the way back in '09.
Nothing to worry about here folks! No need to cut our spending, no need to worry about inflation! All is well.
That's the official story anyway.
